CWIC A PROUD SPONSOR OF THE HUNTINGTON BEACH
JR. LIFEGUARD PROGRAM
CWIC DONATES MASKS AND SNORKELS TO THE PROGRAM
C. Walters Intercoastal Corp, Inc. (CWIC), a leading snorkeling and aquatics equipment manufacturer based in Foothill Ranch, Calif., is thrilled to announce the sponsorship and support of the Huntington Beach Jr. Lifeguard program. CWIC is providing state-of-the-art masks and snorkels that will help 1,110 youth during their intensive eight week training program.
The CWIC team will see the JR Lifeguards in action on July 20th as they accompany the group on one of their weekly Catalina training missions. There the youth will practice various rescue procedures and put their lifesaving skills to the test.
The Junior Lifeguard program is an intense eight week course for youth 9 to 17 years of age that teaches valuable life saving skills such as C.P.R., first aid, water rescue, mutual cooperation and oceanic environment education. “Our program was developed to help youth build self respect, discipline, and sound morals,” said Program Administrator Dave Simcox. “We are honored to have CWIC as a sponsor and appreciate their generosity.”
CWIC’s sponsorship of the program exemplifies the company’s commitment to community programs and youth programs; reaching all socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds. “The Huntington Beach Jr. Lifeguard program helps build confidence in the water and offers invaluable life skills that will stay with the kids forever,” said CWIC Founder & President Cindi Walters.
